MEET CHICA BONITA

 

We adopted "Chica Bonita" in March, 2009.  Chica is a loving and spoiled 3 year-old shepherd mix.  We took the time to get Chica treated for allergies, took her for additional training at Hadley Acres in Metamora, socialized her enough for doggie parks, and continue to care for her overall emotional and physical health.  We intend to keep Chica forever.

 

  

We love Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital.  I actually took my dogs there when I was a child.  People drive 100 plus miles to bring their pets to the facility.  We think of the clinic as our family because the customer service exceeds our expectations.  I truly feel they are committed to pets and their families.  Every care is taken to reassure us that they will do anything they can to accommodate and treat our pet.  Thank you Harper Woods staff!  We appreciate excellent care and service.

URSULA The Mighty & Clever

 

 

I am Ursula, the Mighty and Clever.  I nap, hunt, and luxuriate.  An entire garden has been planted for me, and all the clothes, bedding, papers and books in the house are mine.  My excellent ear-feathers are one indication of my Maine Coon background.

Lio

 

Meet Lio, whose birthday is May 10, 2006. Lio's name originally was spelled Leo, but after he broke his tiny leg last year, requiring surgery with a little metal plate and 4 teeny screws, we changed the spelling to Lio, which, in Spanish, means trouble. Lio's father is a Spanish champion. 

 

Lio has two cousins, Dexter, a Yorkie from San Jose, and Moose, a Golden Retriever, from West Bloomfield. This upcoming weekend they'll all be together for a doggie sleepover!

Rylee

 

Here is a photo of my Golden Retriever, Rylee. She is 4 months old in this picture. She was born June 18, 2007 in Charlevoix, Michigan.  She is in her “terrible Two’s” right now, but is loved by her family. Her owner attends Michigan State University, so Rylee wears her State tie while Randi is away. She misses her very much.

Tori Is Ready To Trick-or-Treat

 

 

Here's one of Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital's favorite patients for some 12 years, named "Tori".  Tori and the rest of her pet family have been going to Harper Woods for over 30 years!  Tori is trying out her costume for Halloween, and everyone says she looks adorable!  But Tori also reminds everyone that candy and chocolate are NOT good for pets, so be sure to give your pet friends healthy pet treats this year.

Sammy & Gucci

 

Sammy "The Bull" is the smaller mellow brother (until Gucci pushes his buttons, then his Italian fever comes out), while Gucci enjoys being the jealous and daring one.

 

 

 

 

 

 

They love spending all their time together playing and hanging out and are always with each other, no matter what. What else could parents ask for, but two great kids and brothers!

Barzini & Trinka

 

"Barzini" is a 9 year old mix (Shepherd and Lab), that likes to get wet--

but doesn't know how to swim, so he's only wet at the first step.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"Trinka" is a 4 year old German Shepherd. 

 

She's tilts her head from left to right when you talk to her and especially likes it when you talk about "cookies".

Surf's Up !

 

Here are 2 of our favorite friends "Treavor" & "Taylor" spending the day at Walton Rocks Dog Beach in Port St. Lucie, Florida.  Treavor (on the left) will be 10 years old on May 22nd and Taylor will be 2 years old on July 28th.  You can check out their earlier pictures by scrolling down the Gallery.  They were definitely the 2 coolest dogs at the beach!
