Dr. Bissonnette with "Panda"

Dr. Bissonnette graduated from Ontario Agricultural College at the University of Guelph,  with a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture in 1982.  He entered the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the Ontario Veterinary College soon after and received his DVM degree in 1986.  Since graduating in 1986 he has received the following educational certificates:

Lifelearn Certificate in Small Animal Dentistry 1994; Lifelearn Certificate in Feline Medicine, 1994; Canadian Course in Veterinary Homeopathy, 2000, leading to certification by the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy.  On a personal note, Dr. Bissonnette owned and operated his own practice for thirteen years with his wife Dawn who is also a Veterinarian, before he became a partner with Pet Vet Hospitals. Dr. Dawn Bissonnette has recently finished a Certification course in Veterinary Acupuncture.  They live with their family of three cats, one dog and four horses.  Dawn rides one of their horses in Dressage competitions.  Dr. Bissonnette is interested in the area of alternative, therapies especially homeopathy and how it can be used in a complementary way with more traditional medicine, diagnostics and surgery. He is available here at Credit Valley for homeopathy referrals.  Dr. Bissonnette is also very interested in feline medicine and small animal surgery.

Roselyn Allen, DVM

Associate Veterinarian,

Pet Vet Credit Valley Hospital

Dr. Allen graduated from Atlantic Veterinary College, Class of 2001 University of Prince Edward Island.  Dr. Allen’s academic career began with her obtaining a BA in English and a BSc in Biology from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. After graduation Dr. Allen relocated to Ontario and spent the first part of her career working at our Eastside hospital in Stoney Creek.

She moved to Mississauga and became a full time Associate at our Credit Valley hospital after her son Maksim was born in 2003. On a personal note; Dr. Allen is a proud Maritimer and returns there on her vacation time to visit with family and friends. Her personal time is spent reading and watching movies, and of course keeping up with Max. Dr. Allen has a beautiful tortoiseshell cat named “Gilda”. She is affectionately known as Dr. Roz around the Pet Vet Hospital team!  Dr. Allen enjoys all aspects of companion animal medicine. She is passionately committed to the preservation of the human-animal bond and the solving of pet behavioural issues as they impact on that bond.

Arunas Jonusas, DVM

Associate Veterinarian,

Pet Vet Credit Valley Hospital

Dr. Arunas graduated from The Lithuanian Veterinary Academy in 1995 with the degree of Veterinary Surgeon.  After graduating, Dr. Jonusas began practicing in his birth country, Lithuania, as a farm Veterinarian.  Following the crash of the Soviet Union, he returned to the Veterinary Academy and trained to work with companion animals.

Dr. Jonusas came to Canada in 2004 where he worked and studied to realize his dream of practicing in Canada. He passed the Ontario Veterinary College Board exams in 2008.  Dr. Jonusas is very interested in companion animal diagnostics and surgery. He finds it very rewarding to find out what is wrong with a sick pet and be able to make it feel better. On a personal note, Dr. Jonusas is a single parent of two daughters, one here in Canada studying biology at York University and the other is married, with two children and lives in England.  Dr. Jonusas is a sports fan. He plays basketball but is a huge fan of any type of team oriented sports. Dr. Jonusas speaks several languages; Lithuanian, Latvian, Russian and English.
